E/O's can be involved in a number of different facets of school administration including:

Our magazine carries articles that help in many of these areas, and goes regularly to all members. Read from the magazine archives.

Today, E/Os provide a vital link in the smooth and business-like management of secondary schools. Professional development is a key aspect of this. The Association runs annual conferences and funding dedicated to regional branches. Strategic planning encompasses all aspects of the E/O's work. Alliances have been formed with other key educational sector groups and as well as suppliers and contractors.

Current development is focused on raising awareness of the EO's role in schools and the contribution that they make.
